Wally van Hall

Wally graduated in Taxation and Economics from the University of Groningen in 2002. He started his career as tax advisor in January 2003 at Deloitte where he worked in the international corporate tax group. He was a member of the Technology, Media & Telecommunication team with a focus on international corporate tax planning and compliance for media companies. In April 2009 he joined VMW Taxand.

Most of Wally’s clients have substantial operating companies located in the Netherlands and are use the Netherlands in their international holding structure. Being the responsible manager of the engagement teams for these clients, Wally works with these companies on their day-to-day Netherlands tax operations and on their tax structuring. Projects include the development and implementation of a so-called 15b financing structure through the Netherlands for a US listed company and obtaining several rulings on the participation exemption. More in general, Wally has been working on the tax implications around IP, the participation exemption and the coordination of the annual process on the tax position of the companies in the annual accounts. In 2008 Wally was seconded as an international tax manager to TNT N.V. headquarters for 4 months. During that time he was responsible for the company's tax planning and tax accounting position of Western Europe and Africa.
