Harrie van Mens

Harrie graduated in Civil Law and Tax Law aspects on donations (cum laude) at the University of Amsterdam. He obtained a Ph.D. in Tax Law (cum laude). Harrie is one of the founding partners of Van Mens & Wisselink (now VMW Taxand). Currently, he is active as a boardroom counselor and supervisory director for medium and large sized companies. In addition he is a professor in Tax Law at the University of Utrecht and a standby member of the Court of Appeal of ‘s Hertogenbosch. Harrie is an experienced practitioner in a wide range of civil and tax law related matters. 

He publishes regularly in law journals and is (co)author of many books. Harrie is member of the International Fiscal Association (IFA) and the International Bar Association (IBA). Prof. van Mens also chairs the board of several NGO’s.
