Dr. Paul Bavelaar, board member of VMW Taxand and head of the German Desk will be taking part in the press conference of the Dutch German Chamber of Commerce (DNHK) in May 2010. He will be pointing out the Chambers’ point of view in terms of law & tax. Among others the chamber asks the Dutch government for recognition of German excerpts from the commercial register and other official documents in order to cut down founding hurdles regarding investments in the Netherlands and to stimulate the establishment of foreign companies. In addition, the Chamber remarks that Dutch tax law must become more efficient and transparent, especially in terms of constantly changing and adopting rules and regulations. In conclusion, Dr. Bavelaar raises possibilities to protect companies in the long term from the impact of the financial crisis and to protect employment. On behalf of the Dutch German Chamber of Commerce he urges the government to soften the strict Dutch rules on dismissal in order to make it easier for small companies to employ new people and to institutionalize unemployment benefits for part-time unemployed people. « Back |
